The Pack will once again be participating in Wreaths Across America’s wreath-laying at West Point’s cemetary. After a brief ceremony, parents and scouts (and hundreds of other volunteers) will place a wreath on every headstone within the cemetary, in rememberance of our fallen heros. No sign-up is required — simply show up. We may gather for a tailgate in the parking lot or grab lunch at a nearby restaurant afterwards.

Pinewood Derby Check-In / Impounding (Mandatory)

You must bing your Pinewood Derby car for inspection and impounding at Rye Pres between 7 and 9 PM. It will be weighed, measured and inspected for compliance with the rules, which you can find here on the Files page of our website. Then it will be impounded until the races — you will not get it back until afterwards. There are many other rules, but please note that the problem we see most often, year-in and year-out is scouts putting weights on the underside of their cars — you can only do so if you fully recess them below the surface of the wood; otherwise they will drag on the track, which rises up between the wheels!

This poker tournament benefits Friends of Scouting, is a great time, and held right in Rye at the Apawamis Club. Adults only! Details and sign-up info to follow.
